The Oventrop Group and the Finnish company HögforsGST are entering into a strategic partnership in the field of heating networks. HögforsGST, the leading provider of smart heating and cooling solutions in the Nordics, has acquired 100 % of the former Oventrop subsidiary Oventrop Energy & Network (formerly Kring). In return, the Oventrop Group becomes a shareholder in HögforsGST. Oventrop Energy & Network will remain at its location in Haiger, North Hesse, Germany.

By acquiring Oventrop Energy & Network, the Finnish company will strengthen its presence in the core European markets. The well-known and strong brand name Oventrop Energy & Network will remain in place after the acquisition and is intended to facilitate access to the core markets in Central Europe.

Conversely, the Oventrop Group will supply components to HögforsGST and support it in the development of new products. “Both partners are bringing their respective core competencies to the strategic partnership and strengthening each other. With their previously very different sales regions, the two partners also complement each other perfectly and will thus be able to offer impressive and efficient solutions for heating networks across large parts of Europe. In 2019, Oventrop acquired a majority stake in Oventrop Energy & Network, formerly Kring Fernwärme. In recent years, both companies have worked together on solutions for local and district heating networks, thereby investing in a future technology in the field of sustainable heat supply. With its strategic partnership with HögforsGST, the Oventrop Group is now strengthening its commitment to heating networks.
